Kevin St. John, Director of Deputation

Kevin and his wife Lois have been called to full-time ministry over a period of many years. Kevin is bi-vocational and is still serving full-time as Chief Sales Officer for Creative Information Systems. As part of the leadership team, he is responsible for managing the sales and implementation process for a 3-million-dollar portfolio and a staff of 18 full-time employees. Kevin has been integral in the company growing worldwide. In 2016, the company was acquired which opened the door for Kevin to transition from an ownership role in a software company to that of full-time ministry.

Kevin has served in the local church in many leadership roles including, Sunday school teacher/superintendent, Treasurer, Chairman of the Deacons and many more roles like most men who desire to serve in their local church. More recently Kevin

serves as Men's for Missions leader allowing Lois and Kevin to move to ministries outside the church. This servant leader role includes organizing mission's trips to help those ministries that proclaim Jesus Christ as Savior. Many ministries have needs that can be met by talents outside of their ministry. So identifying the talents of people at Merrimack Valley Baptist Church and then challenging those people to serve God on short-term mission activities is key. These ministries include Christian camp, rescue mission or orphanages, even smaller churches all over the US.

Kevin is currently completing his Master's Degree in Biblical Ministries at Piedmont International University. God has been preparing Kevin for full-time service since he accepted Christ as his savior at age 13 at his local church's Good News Bible club.

Over the last year and a half, Kevin is serving as the Director of Deputation for IBM Global.  Kevin has the heart for missions and a passion for evangelism. Using his many years of serving opportunities and business experience helps him come alongside and helps those preparing for the Missions field. As a missionary transitions to the mission field, help is need in planning and raising partners to support through churches, business organizations, and individuals. There is also a need to work with the sending church to help develop a process of accountability and encouragement from their church family. The missionary is an extension of the sending church as they go into full-time missions. My goal is to help the missionary and sending church to develop a lifelong ministry plan for the support and management of the ministry. This plan also calls for an intentional evangelistic lifestyle as they serve in the field.

Along with encouraging the missionaries and sending churches, Kevin’s passion is to remind us all of the importance and simplicity of evangelism. We can all get busy in our ministry and life. However, we can never forget the ultimate call for every believer is to share the Gospel message. I often ask the missionary; " when was the last time you had a spiritual conversation that led to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ?"  Has it been a day, a week? We should be praying daily for the courage and opportunity to share the gospel. If we do not have that opportunity, we are missing a great opportunity be blessed by God and be a blessing to others.
