Jamie & Mandy Smith

Global

In 2020, Jamie Smith became IBMGlobal’s second president after first serving for 8 years as a pastor at Bethel Baptist Church in Parkersburg, WV and then as a missionary in Zambia, Africa for an additional 8 years.

During the Smith’s three terms of service in Zambia they were directly involved with establishing four local churches and those churches have continued to mature and send out more church planters that have resulted in 9 second generation churches so far.  During this time, Jamie also had the privilege of developing the missions program at Central Africa Baptist University that has produced more than 40 graduates with a minor in missions who now serve in a variety of roles across the continent of Africa.

Jamie & Mandy’s greatest joy is to serve in this ministry alongside their children (Lorelei, Jorja, Warrick, and Chola) and see all that God is doing in and through them as they surrender daily to the Lord’s Word and will. When they left Zambia in 2020 they did not cease being missionaries, nor did they leave the mission field.  Rather, they stepped into a role that expanded their ministry to a to a truly global capacity that allows them to serve in 17 nations and counting by facilitating the ministry of current IBMGlobal missionaries, mobilizing new missionaries, and equipping churches to serve as senders.
